Sparrow Gardens Is Coming Down

The former home of the Briercrest Clippers will live in memory.  The legendary Sparrow Gardens, hockey rink since 1946 and former airplane hangar, was officially replaced as home rink for Caronport High School and Briercrest College’s hockey teams earlier this year.  

The demolition of the arena which was one of the venues for the 1985 CCAA Hockey Championships began today.

The Clippers now call John Barkman Arena home.
