' 74-75 Vikings Bound For Hall of Fame

Thirty five years ago this fall, the 1974-75 Camrose Lutheran College Vikings, took the ice. The team coached by Joe Voytechek would become Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) champions, 4-West champions, and the inaugural Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) champions.

The 74-75 edition of the Vikings also started the European tours which led to the development of the Viking Cup.

On Saturday, June 13th, the team will become the first ACAC hockey team to be inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame at a gala in Red Deer. The team joins former NAIT head coach Dale Henwood in the Hall which is currently located in the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame.
